3 People Shot On Beers Street In New Haven Monday Night: Police
At 10 p.m., 2 women, a 22-year-old and a 33-year-old, and a 25-year-old man were shot on Beers between Elm & Edgewood and are hospitalized.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Gunfire erupted Monday night on Beers Street between Edgewood Avenue and Elm Street, injuring three New Haven residents, police said.
At around 10 p.m., cops got a Shotspotter alert of shots fired. When officers got there they saw a car "fleeing" and heading toward Yale New Haven Hospital, according to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway. Inside the car, en route to the hospital, police said, were a 25-year-old New Haven man, and a 22-year-old New Haven woman, both of whom had been shot. Both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and listed in stable condition, Shumway said.
Meanwhile, on Beers Street, officers found a 33-year-old New Haven woman who'd also been shot. She was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, Shumway said.

The New Haven Police Department Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and collected ballistic evidence. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
