A child's leg was grazed, and a man, 26, was critically injured in one shooting. In a 2nd incident, a man, 32, walked into the ER, per cops.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Late Saturday night, a 5-year-old and a 26-year-old man were shot, leaving the man with critical injuries, police said. The child was grazed by gunfire in the lower leg," police spokesperson Scott Shumway said.

It was 11 p.m., when police got a 91 call about a shooting on Judith Terrace, between Quinnipiac Avenue and the dead-end. Both the man and the child were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital. The man was listed in critical condition and the 5-year-old was in stable, Shumway said Sunday.

Minutes after the first shooting, police got a call from Yale New Haven Hospital that a 32-year-old New Haven man had walked into the ER after having been shot, policed said. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition.

In the first shooting, the Bureau of Identification collected ballistic evidence. In all cases, detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
