5 Injured, 1 Dead In New Haven Shooting
A local boxer died and five people were injured in a shooting Saturday night.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A shooting late Saturday night left five people injured and one victim dead, according to WTNH. Dayshon Smith, 28, a local boxer who went by the name "Superfreak" in the ring, was killed in the incident.
Police received calls regarding a person shot on Rosette Street near Hurlburt Street at 11:51 p.m. The five injured victims in the shooting were hospitalized and remained in stable condition Sunday morning, according to WTNH.
The shooting represents the second homicide on Rosette Street this summer.
