New Haven Symphony Orchestra Blasts Off to A Galaxy Far, Far Away with Sci-Fi Movie Soundtrack Favorites

Sunday's full orchestra concert at 3 p.m. at Woolsey Hall features scores from Star Wars, E.T., Interstellar, Dune, Star Trek, and Tron.

Designed for sci-fi fans and families alike, A Galaxy Far, Far Away will give audiences a closer listen to the artistry and imagination behind these works. Costumes will be welcome and encouraged. (NHSO)

NEW HAVEN, CT — The New Haven Symphony Orchestra is preparing for takeoff with A Galaxy Far, Far Away: Sci-Fi Movie Music in Concert on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Woolsey Hall.

Under the direction of music director Perry So, the program will feature iconic sci-fi scores from Star Wars, E.T., Interstellar, Dune, Star Trek, and Tron, performed live by the full orchestra.

Designed for sci-fi fans and families alike, A Galaxy Far, Far Away will give audiences a closer listen to the artistry and imagination behind these works. Costumes will be welcome and encouraged.

For tickets, visit NewHavenSymphony.org or call (203) 693-1486. Ticket prices range from $15 to $49, with tickets for youth under 18 free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Active military and immediate family receive free admission to all performances. College students are $10.

The performance features live music only; films will not appear during the concert.
