NEW HAVEN, CT — Tyrell Brown, 40, of New Haven, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for a 2025 shooting at a New Haven business, according to State’s Attorney John P. Doyle.
Brown will see his sentence suspended after 30 years to serve, followed by three years of probation, Doyle said.
On Feb. 27, a New Haven Superior Court jury found Brown guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm, and other gun charges.
Doyle said that according to evidence introduced at trial, Brown shot the victim, Adam Reese, inside The Catwalk on East Street in New Haven on June 8, 2025.
Reese suffered a gunshot wound to the hip, with the bullet exiting through his right side and striking the establishment’s wall, the prosecutor said.
