New Haven Man, 33, Charged In Connection With November 2025 Fair Haven Shooting: NHPD

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 33-year-old New Haven man was charged in connection with a 2025 Fair Haven shooting, police announced.

On the night of Nov. 15, cops were called to Clay Street and Maltby Place for the report of a shooting and found a 32-year-old New Haven man lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his leg, police said. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with what cops said were non-life-threatening injuries.

The case was assigned to New Haven police Detective James Marcum of the Major Crimes Unit working under Sgt. Jeremy Mastroianni, police wrote on "X."

Marcum was able to develop probable cause to charge Anthony Hill in connection with the shooting. Hill was taken to custody last week. He was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and storing and keeping a pistol unattended in a motor vehicle.

Hill posted a $650,000 surety bond and was released, court records show. He's due in court June 17.
