New Haven Man Convicted Of Manslaughter Gets 15 Years: State's Attorney

NEW HAVEN, CT — Antwine Mike, 50, of New Haven, was sentenced Monday to serve 15 years in prison for the 2024 death of Travis James, according to State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr.

Once released from prison, Mike will serve three years of special parole, Doyle said.

In April, a New Haven Superior Court jury found Mike guilty of first-degree manslaughter.

Doyle said evidence introduced at trial showed Mike stabbed Travis James, 47, of New Haven outside a business on Whalley Avenue on June 1, 2024. James was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
