NEW HAVEN, CT — History was made this weekend as New Haven PAL's first-ever all-girls flag football team competed in their very first tournament and brought home second place.
The young athletes of the newly established Ball Hawks "showed incredible determination, teamwork, resilience, and heart every step of the way," police said.
"We couldn't be prouder of everything they accomplished on and off the field," NHPD PAL wrote on Facebook.
"This is just the beginning for the PAL Ball Hawks, and we can't wait to watch these girls continue to grow, compete, and inspire others in our community."
