Moped Operator Injured After Rt 1 Crash Wednesday Night: Branford Police

BRANFORD, CT — A person driving a moped Wednesday night at around 8:30 p.m., in the area of Route 1 and Orchard Hill Road, was injured when a car pulling out of an address struck it, police said.

Branford Police Lt. Corrianne Carangelo said the driver of the vehicle that pulled in front of the scooter remained on scene, and there was "no indication of intoxication or impairment." She said the moped operator was taken to the hospital.
