NEW HAVEN, CT — A 52-year-old man underwent surgery Wednesday after a stabbing on the city's west side in an apparent domestic incident.
The stabbing took place on Pardee Place, a one-block street between Fountain and Fairfield streets, around between 2 and 2:30 p.m., according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.
Police, alerted by a 911 call, found the man in the street.
Police arrested the man's 21-year-old son in connection with the stabbing, Bruckhart said.
Bruckhart called the man's injuries life-threatening, "but we think he will survive."
