Hometown Recycling Day at Southern CT State University Set for Saturday

NEW HAVEN, CT -- New Haven residents, it's a great time to clear out those recyclable and reusable items.

Southern Connecticut State University, the New Haven Solid Waste & Recycling Authority, and 94.3 WYBC are teaming up for Hometown Recycling Day.

Set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., on the SCSU campus, 114 Farnham Ave., across from the Barack H. Obama Magnet University School.

Residents may bring:

Books
Redeemable plastic bottles & aluminum cans
Documents for on-site shredding (limit: 3 file boxes)Electronics
Textiles

Sustainability tips and helpful resource information will be available.

The event is open to New Haven residents only.
