NEW HAVEN, CT — As generative artificial intelligence continues to reshape higher education, the workplace and public life, Southern Connecticut State University will bring together educators, thought leaders and community members for a one-day conference examining the ethical and public-policy questions surrounding the rapidly evolving technology.
The conference, AI: Implications for Ethics and Public Policy, is Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the School of Business Community Room, SB102, located at 10 Wintergreen Ave.
The discussion is the fourth installment in Southern's 2025–26 Generative Artificial Intelligence series.
Through keynote presentations and interactive sessions, participants will explore the implications of generative AI and consider practical approaches to using the technology responsibly in teaching, institutional work, and other settings. Sessions will address emerging ethical questions while giving participants opportunities to experiment, collaborate, and consider how institutions and individuals can respond to the growing role of AI.
The conference will bring together educators, thought leaders, faculty, staff, and interested members of the broader community. It is open to interested community members and Southern's full-time, part-time, and Early College faculty and staff.
