NEW HAVEN, CT—At around 8 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Whalley Avenue, at Edgewood Park, for the report of an armed robbery, according to police spokesperson Officer Christian Bruckhart.
Two people had gone to the area of the skate park to buy a dirt bike, police said. Reports noted that the buyer had $3,000 in cash. When they gave the seller the money, that person "pulled out a gun," kept the money, and took the dirt bike back.
"A second suspect emerged from the bushes and also pulled out a gun," Bruckhart said. "Both suspects fled, each on a dirt bike, toward Fitch Street."
No arrests have been made.
