Avelo Airlines 'Surpassed' 1,000 Tweed New-Haven Airport Flights
The "milestone" coincides with Avelo Airline's commemoration of its first 100 days flying from Tweed New-Haven to West Palm Beach, Florida.

NEW HAVEN, CT — More than 1,000 flights and 100,000, passengers later, Avelo Airlines began flying out of Tweed New Haven Airport last November with inaugural non-stop flights to Florida.
In its announcement, Avelo said that the "milestone coincides with Avelo commemorating its first 100 days of flying from New Haven to West Palm Beach, Florida."
Despite some "challenging winter weather," the airline said it has "delivered a reliable experience since its arrival" at Tweed. When excluding weather and air traffic control-related factors outside
Avelo’s control, the airline has achieved a cancellation rate of less 1 percent and an on-time arrival rate of 83 percent since November.

“For decades people asked for more service out of Tweed-New Haven Airport. More than 1,000 flights and more than 100,000 passengers later, we've delivered thanks to our incredible partnership with Avelo Airlines and we're just getting started," Tweed-New Haven Airport Director Sean Scanlon said.
Avelo currently serves six Florida destinations: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Sarasota-Bradenton and Tampa. For summer, Avelo is expanding service to each of these destinations.

And, Avelo recently announced that it is adding seven new destinations outside of Florida, including Chicago, Washington, Nashville, Tennessee, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia.
Avelo will begin flying to these destinations in May.
