Be There, Or Be Square: New Haven's 9th Square Night Market Friday

Hosted by The Town Green District aka DowntownNHV, the New Haven Night Market is downtown NHV’s evening bazaar, taking place in different downtown locations and gathering all to celebrate the vibrant New Haven and Greater New Haven community’s entrepreneurs, art, music, food, drink, culture and more.

This May 2023 Market, the NHVNM expands beyond its prior 9th Square footprint to include Orange Street on the other side of Chapel Street, from Court to Chapel.

An all-ages, family and pet (leashed) free to attend event with drinks, food, and goods available to purchase, the 2023 Night Market is set for Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Food, drink, scores of vendors, fun, games, and music. Bonus: If the forecast is correct, it should be a gorgeous night for a Night Market in the 9th Square!

For the first time, shop the Strange Way’s Flair Flair Pop-Up, dine with local eateries like Menya Gumi & G Café, enjoy Trinity’s Pitkin Plaza beer garden, grab a new tattoo from Showoff Ink Artistry, check out a preview of the Yard at 360 and more at the newly expanded Night Market.

From the Night Market Stage, featuring music from K-Pop to soul and R&B, klemzer folk to experimental jazz, starting at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

At the corner of Orange and Chapel Street sits a lot with a LOT (lol) of potential. At Night Market, experience a preview of The Yard at 360! A chill, new space to relax and enjoy downtown New Haven’s ambiance, presented by 360 State Apartments.

At Night Market, The Yard will be host to retail vendors, a food cart and the Night Market Game Zone, your place to battle friends and foes in ping pong, corn hole and board games, as well as several Night Market pop-up vendors, a food cart, seating areas & more!

The tank is back! Are you ready to Dunk for D.E.S.K.? The Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen has been serving people experiencing homelessness or living in poverty by providing food assistance and services that promote health, community, and equity since 1987. They continue their work today with a newly-acquired building at 266 State Street where they continue to expand services with the Drop In & Resources Center. D.E.S.K. will be accepting card payments and cash dunk donations.
