The best restaurant in Connecticut, according to the Daily Meal’s report, is Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana at 157 Wooster St. in New Haven.

"Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is a bucket-list destination you’ll have to make a pilgrimage to if you want to discuss the topic of America's best pizzas with any authority," The Daily Meal says. "The New Haven icon opened in Wooster Square in 1925 and shortly thereafter moved into its current space, at the time making it the largest pizzeria in America. The pizzas here are quintessential New Haven: oblong, just a little charred, thin-crusted, chewy, coal-fired and irresistibly delicious."
