Bicyclist, 79, Hit By A Truck Has Died As Cops Look For Vehicle
Stephen Rediker was riding his bike on College Street when he was struck by a Ford F-150 that left the scene of the crash, police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Stephen Rediker, the 79-year-old New Haven man who while riding his bicycle was involved in a crash with a truck where the driver took off, has died from his injuries, police said. The incident happened Nov. 7 just before 6 p.m. on College Street, between Grove and Wall streets.
Now, New Haven police released photos and a video of the vehicle they are trying to find.
New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway said investigators have surveillance footage from the crash. Police are looking for a black 1997-2004 Ford F-150, single cab, 2 door, with a 6.5 foot bed and a black bed cap and tinted windows. The truck has black aftermarket wheels and large size tires, 4 amber colored lights in the grill, and a single step running board.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators should contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
