Body Found On Springside Avenue ID'd As New Haven Woman, 43: PD
A concerned citizen called cops about a body laying on the side of the road, police said, adding Veronica Quinones' death is suspicious.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A "concerned citizen" told police about a body found on Springside Avenue, between Hard Street and Wintergreen Avenue, on Wednesday afternoon.
When police got there, they found a woman laying on the side of the road, spokesperson Scott Shumway said.
New Haven fire department paramedics pronounced dead, he said.

The woman has been identified as Veronica Quinones, 43, of New Haven, Shumway said.
Police are calling the death suspicious.

Detectives from the New Haven Police Department Bureau of Identification processed the scene, with the Major Crimes Unit leading the investigation.
