NEW HAVEN, CT — The New Haven Police Department's Special Victims Unit had been searching for Cynthia Chamberlain, 59, who was last seen on Feb. 10, standing in front of 169 Davenport Ave.
Tuesday, just before 6 p.m., cops were called to the 100 block of Hallock Avenue after kids playing in the park discovered an "unresponsive female under the tree line next to the fence." Emergency services responded and pronounced the then-unknown woman dead, police said.
Police reported late Wednesday that the woman found dead by playing children has been identified as Chamberlain.

Police said that an autopsy was conducted, "which did not find any evident trauma. And a toxicology report will not be ready for at least several weeks."
