Boy, 9, Released From Hospital After Being Shot
The boy spent about a week in the hospital after being shot while in a car.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 9-year-old boy who was shot in New Haven has been released from the hospital after about a week of treatment.
The boy was playing basketball at a court near his home April 30. Another boy took his ball and left with it, according to police.
The boy and his father walked around the Dixwell neighborhood in an effort to get his ball back. The boy's mother picked the two of them up in a vehicle.

Several gunshots were fired at the vehicle and the boy was struck in the pelvis on Foote Street. They quickly drove to the hospital to get him treatment.
