Boys And Girls Club Of New Haven To Close

The organization has announced it will close the location this week.

NEW HAVEN, CT — The Boys and Girls Club of New Haven will be closing after school activities Friday, according to WTNH. After more than 150 years in operation, "financial uncertainty and limited resources" have contributed to the decision to close.

The Boys and Girls Club leadership over the next 90 days will evaluate ways to continue providing places for young people to grow, but the club will remain closed during that time.

Parents who depend on the club for after-school care have been left scrambling for other options, WTNH reported.
