NEW HAVEN, CT — Firefighters made quick work of a series of small brush fires that broke out at Tweed New Haven Airport on Sunday afternoon.
Black smoke billowing above the airport could be seen for miles Sunday. Crews from the New Haven Fire Department were able to stop the fires from damaging any buildings in the area. The fires broke out at multiple locations around the airport, and the cause was under investigation.
