New Haven Ballet DanceAIR Students to Perform Free Community Showcase in Fair Haven

New Haven Ballet will present its DanceAIR Spring Community Performance on May 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Fair Haven School Auditorium, 164 Grand Avenue. This free event brings together students from schools and community programs across New Haven for an evening of dance and celebration.
DanceAIR provides ballet instruction in local schools and community centers, giving students the opportunity to train, build confidence, and perform. Students from Truman School, Edgewood School, Barack Obama Magnet University School (BOMU), Lincoln-Bassett School, Fair Haven School, Highville Charter School, and Q House will take the stage, many for the first time in front of a live audience.
“The long-term impact of DanceAIR is visible,” said Artistic Director Lisa Kim. “We are seeing students continue their training and grow into strong, committed dancers. It begins with access, encouragement, and opportunity.”
Children’s Division Director Timothy Fountain added, “Working with DanceAIR students brings me tremendous joy. Their growth is inspiring, and audiences will see them perform with real confidence.”
The performance is free and open to the public.
