The Civic Orchestra of New Haven, under the direction of Nadya Potemkina, presents Glow & Grace at Battell Chapel, featuring a New England premiere by Quinn Mason alongside works by Gioachino Rossini and César Franck.
The program opens with Rossini’s witty and energetic Overture to The Barber of Seville, followed by Mason’s Sonorous, a bold and expressive trombone concerto—offering a rare opportunity to experience a compelling contemporary work in its New England premiere. The program concludes with Franck’s Symphony in D minor, a richly layered and powerful work that remains one of the most distinctive symphonic voices of the late Romantic era.
