Driving Miss Daisy Comes to Cabaret on Main Theater in East Haven
Experience one of America’s most beloved stories live onstage as Driving Miss Daisy arrives at Cabaret on Main Theater for a limited engagement, September 17 through October 4.
Set in Atlanta from 1948 through the Civil Rights era, this Pulitzer Prize-winning play follows the unforgettable relationship between Daisy Werthan, a strong-willed Jewish widow, and Hoke Coleburn, the Black chauffeur hired by her son. What begins as a reluctant arrangement gradually becomes a deeply moving friendship that spans 25 years.
Featuring Debi Freund as Daisy, Marvin Glenn Jones as Hoke, and Jamie Carson as Boolie, Driving Miss Daisy is filled with humor, heart, and powerful moments that will stay with you long after the final curtain.
Cabaret on Main’s intimate setting places you close to every emotion, while its signature 280-degree immersive projections transport you through the changing years and streets of Atlanta.
