An Airbnb owner has gone all-out on the pizza theme, spending months renovating and decorating a two-bedroom apartment. It now includes everything from cherry-red pizza parlor booths with a Formica table to checkerboard floors and a jukebox.

Here's how the description of the space reads:

Jason Bunce and his fiancée, Kristen Rivera, opened the Airbnb, which is right above Bunce's hair salon, Skull & Combs, on State Street, according to WTNH News-8.

The couple has welcomed guests from all over the world to the pizza capital, with the apartment being in proximity to the holy trinity of New Haven apizza: Modern, Sally's, and Frank Pepe's.

The space receives a 5.0-star rating on Airbnb. One guest raved: "The space is great! The decor is enough to keep you entertained for hours. So many small touches."

In May, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro made a symbolic declaration in the U.S. Capitol naming New Haven the "Pizza Capital of the United States."

The city was recognized "for the myriad family businesses that have contributed to making the highest form of this crafted food available to people of all backgrounds for over 100 years thereby helping to establish a uniquely American culinary and cultural experience."
