Career Magnet Jumps Into Top 10 in Latest Girls Basketball Poll

NEW HAVEN, CT — Capital Prep retained its stronghold on girls high school basketball in Connecticut, topping the weekly sportswriters' poll once again.

The Trailblazers, who have not lost an in-state regular season game since Dec. 15, 2011, opened this season with four straight victories.

Previously unranked Career Magnet moved into the number eight spot, by virtue of five straight wins to open the season.
