City To Hand Out Test Kits Thursday For New Haven Residents Only
Drive-up distribution is at Sports Haven on Long Wharf and for those without cars or who use public transportation, a walk-up at the Green.
NEW HAVEN, CT — The city will distribute around 8,000 at-home rapid COVID-19 test kits Thursday at two locations for New Haven residents only. N-95 masks will also be given out. But it’s first come, first served because when they run out, the distribution stops.
"Please be patient. There will be lines, and when supplies run out it will end," New Haven Director of Emergency Operations Rick Fontana said. He said public safety staff will be on hand to help things run smoothly.
Folks must provide some kind of proof of New Haven residency in order to get a test kit, officials said.
