UPDATE: Cops Investigating Dirt Bike Vs. Pedestrian Hit-&-Run
The dirt bike hit-and-run happened the afternoon of Aug. 31 at the intersection of State and Grace streets.

NEW HAVEN, CT —A dirt bike struck and injured a pedestrian last week and then fled, police said. New Haven police are investigating the hit-and-run on Aug. 31 at around 5 p.m. at the intersection of State and Grace streets.
Now, police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of the bike alleged to have struck the person. The bike is described as a royal blue dirt bike with blue trim on the front and back tires, police said. The driver was wearing a black t-shirt, black ski mask, and black jeans, police wrote on a Facebook post.
The bike that police said hit the pedestrian was traveling with two other dirt bikes. The other riders were described by police: A male wearing a black t-shirt, black pants riding a white and blue dirt bike and an unknown person wearing a silver helmet, green face mask, black shirt, and black pants riding a black and gray dirt bike.
