This CT Restaurant Among Top 100 In U.S., Yelp Says

CONNECTICUT — Zeneli's Pizzeria, the popular New Haven-based eatery, has been named one of Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants for 2026.

The spot, located at 138 Wooster St., was ranked 87th, and specializes in traditional Italian cuisine.

It is the only Connecticut restaurant to make this year's Yelp list.

"Hands down my favorite Italian food on the East Coast!!!!" one fan wrote on Facebook about Zeneli's.

"Top 5 in my book," another said.

Yelp says it determines the top 100 this way: "We identified businesses in the restaurant category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of November 6, 2025."

This year's Yelp list says among the food trends is "grandma-core," which are restaurants that serve meals made with "old-fashioned, slow-cooked family recipes made with simple ingredients."

In addition to pizzerias, other popular restaurants on the list are spots that serve all-day breakfasts, and places to enjoy sushi.

The top five on the Yelp list are:

1. Ci Siamo – New York, New York
2. Taste of Texas – Houston, Texas
3. NAM Kitchen – Gardena, California
4. Waffle and Berry – Honolulu, Hawaii
5. Comfort Cafe – San Antonio, Texas
