CT Transit Bus Driver Gets Job Back After Fight With Passenger

The passenger attacked the bus driver with a cane and later on the bus driver reengaged with the passenger on the street.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A CT Transit bus driver got his job back after being fired following an altercation with a rider.

A passenger was caught on video beating driver Stefan Knox with a cane and Knox fought back.

Later on Knox started fighting with the passenger on the street. Passenger William Horn was charged with assault and breach of peace.

Union representatives filed a grievance over Knox's firing and he was reinstated, according to NBC Connecticut. Knox has been with CT Transit for 19 years.

CT Transit said in a statement that Knox was reinstated under a "last chance" agreement with any other disciplinary issue resulting in his termination.
