DCF Investigating 'Sexual Misconduct' Allegation Against Teacher

A Jepson School student said a substitute teacher touched her in a "manner that constituted sexual misconduct," schools' spokesperson said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A student at Benjamin Jepson Magnet School said made an allegation that on Wednesday, a substitute teacher had "touched her in a manner that constituted sexual misconduct," according to New Haven schools spokesperson Justin Harmon.

In response to a query from Patch, Harmon said that the school notified the state Department of Children and Families "immediately." He said the agency is investigating the allegation.

New Haven schools suspended the substitute teacher pending the outcome of the investigation, Harmon said.
