After a two-year hiatus, Discovery To Cure, a program overseen by the Yale School of Medicine will be hosting the Beverly Levy Walk and Festival on Sunday, May 1. In 2013, Beverly Levy experienced that Gynecologic Cancers were sorely underfunded and lacked the proper education and awareness to keep women safe, all while living through her own cancer experience.

Beverly, along with a group of friends and medical professionals put together the first walk in September of 2013 with the goal to raise funds and awareness for Gynecologic Cancers. Sadly, Beverly passed away in 2014 and only got to see her dream for one year. In each year following, Discovery to Cure and its incredible team of volunteers and medical professionals have worked hard to continue her legacy in raising funds and awareness in Beverly’s memory.

For this year, Discovery to Cure’s committee has put together an incredible walk and festival for the whole community. This event will include amazing speakers, a celebratory walk, a DJ, children’s area, community vendors, raffles, and food trucks. We’ve also teamed up with Crafters Care to bring in over 50 vendors to this event.
