Earn Under $60K A Year? Get Free Tax Prep At Southern Starting March 1
The free tax help, under the IRS' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, is performed by SCSU business school certified tax pro students.
NEW HAVEN, CT —The Southern Connecticut State University School of Business will offer free tax preparation in collaboration with the IRS' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. The VITA program offers free tax preparation to people who generally make $60,000 per year or less.
All student volunteers in the VITA program are certified-IRS tax professionals who must take and pass tax law training that meets or exceeds IRS standards. This training includes maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of all taxpayer information.
VITA Tax Return preparation will be offered every Wednesday starting March 1 through April 12 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the SCSU School of Business Trading Room SB005, except for Wednesday, March 15.

Preparations will be offered by appointment only and parking is available in Lot 12, next to the School of Business.
