East Haven Woman, Bridgeport Man Hit In 2 Weekend Shootings: PD
Friday, a 30-year-old man was shot and Saturday, a 24-year-old woman was shot, police said. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 30-year-old Bridgeport man was shot Friday night on John Williamson Drive and a 24-year-old East Haven woman was shot late Saturday night on Lombard Street, police said.
Friday at around 8:30, police were called to Yale New Haven Hospital for a report of a person shot. The Bridgeport man, who had been "struck by gunfire" on John Williamson Drive, between Downing and Front streets was "driven to the hospital by a friend," according to New Haven police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway. The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Shumway said.
Saturday night just minutes before midnight, police got a Shotspotter notification of gunfire on Lombard Street, between Rowe and Chatham streets. Officers found an East Haven woman "struck by gunfire." She was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Shumway said.
