East Haven Woman Donates Kidney to Brother, Benefit Concert to Aid Costs
An East Haven woman is donating her kidney to her brother; a benefit concert will be held in new Haven this weekend to aid surgical costs.

NEW HAVEN, CT - An East Haven woman is donating her kidney to her brother in need, the New Haven Register reported. A fundraiser will be held in New Haven this weekend to aid the family with expenses.
Jaquis Hornesburger, 24, received a kidney from a cadaver when he was 14 which has since failed, according to the New Haven Register. After being denied the chance to help her brother a decade ago, Deneisha Coles, 30, of East Haven will now act his donor. (To sign up for East Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
A benefit concert fundraiser will be held Sunday, featuring 11 groups and solo singers, to help the family with surgical expenses, the New Haven Register reported. The concert will be held at Trinity Temple Church at 4:15 p.m., with admission $33 at the door.
