Faxon Law New Haven Road Race Donates $18,000 to local Charities

The 44th annual Labor Day Faxon Law New Haven Road Race charitable giving.

The 44th annual Labor Day Faxon Law New Haven Road Race gave $18,000 to a number of local charities. The nonprofit event also provided free race entries to hundreds of New Haven children. Race participants donated nearly $12,000 to local nonprofits associated with the race.

“Faxon Law is headquartered in New Haven, and it has always been a priority to give back to the local community,” said Joel Faxon, Partner at Faxon Law Group. “The race donates to a number of local charities every year and we are proud to be a part of this event.”

New Haven’s Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen, New Haven Legal Assistance, and other local organizations that serve the New Haven community received donations from this year’s race. The nonprofit also gave money to organizations that serve the youth of New Haven and a number of high school athletic teams.

“The City of New Haven has been a great supporter of our event since its inception,” said Mike Dolan, Race President. “In appreciation for this support, the event donates to local organizations that enhance the opportunities and services to those that live in the New Haven community.”

Race participants also raised nearly $12,000 for local charities. These donations went to Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS), Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen, and New Haven Legal Assistance.

The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race traditionally has runners from over 40 states and multiple countries. It receives major support for the event from Avelo Airlines, T-Mobile, McDermott Lexus, AVANGRID, ACES, Town Fair Tire, Corsair, Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists, and the City of New Haven.
