Flooding Causes Havoc At Tweed Airport
Flooding at the New Haven airport has caused cancellations for nearly 24 hours.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Flooding at Tweed Airport has resulted in cancellations for nearly 24 hours, The Hartford Courant reported. Heavy rainfall that started Monday at 7:30 p.m. has inundated the terminal.
All flights from Monday at 8:30 p.m. to Tuesday afternoon have been cancelled. A cleanup crew is working on the terminal and airport officials said service should resume at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to The Courant.
Tweed provides flights to over 130 destinations.

Almost two inches of rain fell. The tarmac couldn't handle the fast rate of precipitation, leading to the terminal flooding, WFSB reported.
