Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill Celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill will be celebrating their biggest holiday of the year – Cinco de Mayo – on Friday, May 5 at both the New Haven and Fairfield locations.

The New Haven location (271 Crown Street) will be celebrating all-day (starting at 11:30am) with giveaways and a pig roast in the parking lot. Beginning at 5pm, the party expands outdoors with a street party in the driveway, and the opening of an outdoor Taco Cart and musical entertainment from a Mariachi band. In Fairfield (2070 Post Road) starting at 11:30am, daytime revelers will enjoy an outdoor pig roast and giveaways, and beginning at 5pm, an outdoor Taco Cart will help serve the hungry dinner-time rush. For those wanting to start the party early, the Fairfield location will also be hosting a Cinco de Mayo Pre-Celebration Party, sponsored by Hornitos, on Wednesday, May 3. Running from 5:00-11:00pm, this kick-off will include an outdoor pig roast and Taco Cart, and Margarita specials mixed with Hornitos Tequila.

Both locations recently received their CRT Certification from the official Tequila Regulatory Council within the Mexican government. Only approx. 40 restaurants in the world have this honor, which came as a result of 80% of the staff being trained on Tequila by a member of the Council and successfully passing a test.
