Hamden Man, 21, Shot Saturday, Drove Himself To Hospital: PD

Shot at around 3:30 p.m. on South Genesee Street, between Harper Avenue and East Ramsdell Street he's in stable condition, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 21-year-old Hamden man was shot Saturday afternoon in New Haven, and drove himself to the hospital, police said.

The victim, who was not named by police was shot around 3:30 p.m. on South Genesee Street, between Harper Avenue and East Ramsdell Street, police said. The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was listed in stable condition at Yale New Haven Hospital, police spokesperson Scott Shumway said.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
