NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating the shooting of a New Haven man who was found shot on a backyard trampoline, police said.

Police were called to the reported shooting late Saturday on Munson Street after a resident called 911 saying a person who'd been shot was on a trampoline. According to New Haven police spokesperson Capt. Rose Dell, the 33-year-old told investigators that he was at the "bus stop on Dixwell Avenue and Henry Street when he heard gunshots and then realized that he had been shot and started running." Dell said the man heard "more gunshots as he ran into a backyard onto a
trampoline."

Taken to the hospital, he was treated for a gunshot wound to his ankle, she said.
