Hillhouse Remains at Top of Boys Basketball Mountain

NEW HAVEN, CT — Once again, Hillhouse High School was deemed the top boys basketball team in the state by members of the Connecticut media.

The undefeated Academics received 17 of 20 first-place votes in the latest weekly balloting.

Wilbur Cross just missed the top 10, but received a considerable amount of support from voters.

Here are the top 10 with records through Jan. 15:

3. Sacred Heart (6-0)
4. East Hartford (8-0)
5. Weaver (7-2)
6. East Catholic (6-1)
7. Fairfield Warde (8-0)

10. South Windsor (7-1)

Also receiving votes: Wilbur Cross (7-2), Danbury (7-2), Wilton (7-0), Notre Dame-Fairfield (6-1), Crosby (7-2), Holy Cross (7-1), Bassick (6-1), Norwich Free Academy (7-1), Trumbull (8-1), Bloomfield (6-2), Kennedy (7-1), Ledyard (6-2), Lewis Mills (8-1), Westbrook (8-1).
