Hit & Run Driver Struck 79-Year-Old Bicyclist Sunday Night: PD
Shortly before 6 p.m., a black vehicle struck the elderly cyclist, who is listed in critical condition, on College Street, police said.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A 79-year-old New Haven man riding a bicycle on College Street Sunday just before 6 p.m., was struck by a hit-and-run driver, police said.
The man is listed in critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway.
The man was on his bike traveling on College between Grove and Wall streets when he was hit by a "black vehicle," Shumway said.

The New Haven Police Crash Team is investigating.
