The Shops at Yale will celebrate this holiday season with Free Gourmet Hot Cocoa with Purchase, Free 2-Hour Parking with Purchase, Holiday Shopping Passport, Storytelling & Selfies with Santa & Mrs. Claus, Connecticut Yuletide Carolers, Flights of Fancy, Appreciation Night for New Haven Residents, Andy Wolf Holiday Tubulation Series, L.L.Bean Boots Giveaway, Free Cupcake with Purchase in the Whitney-Audubon District, and Holiday Ice Carving Competition & A Cappella Concert. Free Gourmet Hot Cocoa with Purchase
Dates: November & December
Locations: Claire’s Corner Copia, 1000 Chapel Street, and Blue State Coffee, 276 York Street
Present a same-day paper receipt for $25 or more from participating retailers at The Shops at Yale during November and December 2021 and receive one free gourmet hot cocoa from Claire’s Corner Copia, 1000 Chapel Street, or Blue State Coffee, 276 York Street. Participating retailers include Apple, Atticus Bookstore Cafe (retail only), Barnes & Noble – The Yale Bookstore, Book Trader Cafe (retail only), Campus Customs, Derek Simpson Goldsmith, dwell New Haven, FatFace, Grey Matter Books, Hull’s Art Supply & Framing, idiom Boutique, J.Crew, L.L.Bean, Lou Lou Boutiques, lululemon, Neville Wisdom’s Fashion Design Studio, Patagonia New Haven, Raggs for Men & Women, Shiana Hair (retail only), Sneaker Junkies, Urban Outfitters, and Warby Parker (opening mid-November 2021).

Free 2-Hour Parking with Purchase
Dates: November & December
Locations: 56 Broadway and 255 Crown Street
Free 2-hour parking with a same-day purchase of $25 or more from any retailer or restaurant at The Shops at Yale. Participating locations include the following surface lots; 56 Broadway and 255 Crown Street. Simply show your paper or electronic receipt to the parking lot attendant in the booth when exiting the lot.

2021 Holiday Shopping Passport
Dates: November 1 to December 19
Location: Downtown New Haven

Shop local, get stamped, and enter to win! This holiday when you spend $25 or more at any three of 45 participating retailers in downtown, collect a stamp in your official passport and enter for a chance to win a prize pack valued at $1,125! Three winners will be chosen. Visit infonewhaven.com/holidaypassport for official rules, regulations, and the complete list of participating retailers. This promotion is produced in collaboration with Market New Haven, Inc. and Town Green District.

Storytelling & Selfies with Santa & Mrs. Claus
Dates & Locations:
• Saturdays, November 27 & December 4 from 1:00-3:00pm at Book Trader Cafe, 1140 Chapel Street.
• Saturdays, December 11 & 18 from 1:00-3:00pm at Claire’s Corner Copia, 1000 Chapel Street. • Sundays, November 28, December 5, 12, & 19 from 1:00-3:00pm at Barnes & Noble – The Yale Bookstore, lower level (children’s department), 77 Broadway.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit The Shops at Yale and read stories to children for the first hour from 1:00-2:00pm, followed by selfies with families from 2:00-3:00pm. Free and open to the public. (The city of New Haven requires face masks indoors, except when seated in a restaurant.)

Connecticut Yuletide Carolers (Roaming)
Dates: Saturdays, November 27, December 4, 11, & 18 from 12:30-4:30pm Locations: Chapel & Broadway Districts
Two groups of four festive holiday carolers will be performing simultaneously in the Broadway and Chapel Historic Districts wearing traditional garb. Great photo opportunities.

Flights of Fancy: Holiday Shopping Edition
Date: Wednesday, November 17 from 4:00-8:30pm
Locations: Chapel & Broadway Districts
A premiere shopping, wine, and food crawl in historic downtown New Haven organized by Town Green District. This is a ticketed event with free parking and exclusive shopping discounts for ticket holders. Tickets are available online at downtownnewhaven.com/fof.

Appreciation Night for New Haven Residents

Date: Thursday, November 18 at 4:00pm
Location: Downtown New Haven

Visit us in historic downtown New Haven for a special night with exclusive shopping and dining discounts, free gifts with purchase, free parking with purchase, and more starting at 4:00pm! Check-in is not required. Guests can simply show any ID or paperwork with their home address to the store and restaurant associates to redeem the special offers. (The city of New Haven requires face masks indoors, except when seated in a restaurant.) Exclusive offers.

FEATURED EVENT
Holiday Ice Carving Competition & A Cappella Concert
Date: Sunday, December 12 from 12:00-4:00pm
Location: Broadway Island
Six professional ice carvers from all over from New England will each transform 900lbs of ice into a spectacular sculpture in only four hours on Broadway Island, across from Apple/L.L.Bean/lululemon. Great photo opportunities with the sculptures after the event. Vote on your favorite and automatically be entered to win one of five $50 gift cards! Guests will also be treated to live performances by several accomplished Yale a cappella groups, including Something Extra, The Yale Alley Cats, Whim ‘n Rhythm, The Spizzwinks of Yale University, Yale Out of the Blue, and Yale’s Proof of the Pudding. This event is free and open to the public. The city of New Haven offers free metered street parking on Sundays throughout New Haven! In addition, free parking is available to the first 100 cars at the 150 York Street Garage from 11am 5pm. Bring your paper ticket to The Shops at Yale table under the big tent at the event to be validated.

Andy Wolf Holiday Tubulation Series
Dates: Friday, November 26 and Sundays, November 28, December 5, 12, & 19 from 1:00-4:00pm Locations: Sherman’s Alley, next to Union League Café (1032 Chapel Street), and Broadway Island (56 Broadway)
Enjoy the sounds of tubas playing festive music on Chapel Street and Broadway.

Win a Pair of Classic L.L.Bean Boots
Dates: November 1 to December 19
Location: Window display at 1046 Chapel Street near Sherman’s Alley & Union League Café
