Holiday Village, Tree Lighting On The Green, Thursday To Saturday

NEW HAVEN, CT —The New Haven Holiday Village 2021 and annual Tree Lighting celebration kicks off Thursday on the Green.

The Holiday Village is a pop-up winter market featuring local artisans selling crafts and merch, with entertainment and the tree lighting.

This year, there's also a COVID -19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5 to 11 from 4 p.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. As a "special incentive," New Haven families who have their kids vaccinated at the clinic can enter a drawing to win four roundtrip tickets to one of the six Florida destinations new Tweed New Haven Airport airline Avelo flies to. Those locations are Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Fort Myers.

The Holiday Village opens Thursday, Dec. 2, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and continues Friday, Dec. 3, from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4, from noon to 6 p.m.

Festivities kick off with Holiday Tree Lighting at just after 7 p.m. Thursday and continues with seasonal entertainment, photo opps with Santa & Mrs. Claus, and surprises for the whole family.

All COVID-19 protocols and social distancing will be in effect at this year’s event.
