Jury Finds Michael Holmes Guilty of 2019 Murder of Curtis McCray in New Haven: State's Attorney

NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven Superior Court jury found Michael Holmes, 41, guilty of murder, according to State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr.
Holmes, of New Haven, was convicted March 13 in the shooting death of Curtis McCray on Shelton Avenue in October 2019, Doyle said.
He was also found guilty, in a separate proceeding, of Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

According to Doyle, evidence introduced at trial showed Holmes shot McCray, found unresponsive in the street, suffering from two gunshot wounds. Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, he died from injuries.
Holmes will be sentenced May 22.
