Kardashian Will Promote New Haven Firm's New Medication
Biohaven has brought on a member of the celebrity family to promote its new migraine treament.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven biotech company has brought on a Kardashian to promote its recently approved treatment for migraine headaches. Khloe Kardashian, who says she has suffered from migraines for two decades, will be the spokesperson for Nurtec ODT, a drug produced by Biohaven Pharmaceuticals, according to The Middletown Press.
The 36-year-old social media phenom recently posted about the medication to her 28.1 million Twitter followers.
"My #migraine attacks are DEBILITATING. It's more than the pain. They rob me of time with people I love. Thx to @NurtecODT (rimegepant) I'm taking my life back & so are others. Join us using #TakeBackToday."

According to a statement from BioHaven, Nurtec ODT received FDA-approval Feb. 27. The company reported net revenues of $1.2M in March after launch in U.S. pharmacies.

A company official said that Kardashian first tried the medication earlier this year following a consultation with her doctor. She later decided to become a paid consultant for Biohaven, according to The Middletown Press.
