Lego Gun Prompts Police Call At New Haven School: Report

Police were called to the school after the student started pointing the Lego gun at others.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police were called to Benjamin Jespon Magnet School Thursday in New Haven after a student build a toy gun out of Legos and pointed it at other students.

New Haven Schools COO Will Clark said that the issue was investigated with the use of "restorative practice," according to Fox 61.

Students were also taught about avoiding conduct that could pose risk or concern to others.

Jepson serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. School officials didn't disclose the age of the student who made the toy gun. Read the full school statement here.
