Life-Threatening Injuries After Pedestrian Struck: New Haven PD

A man was seriously injured while crossing the street.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 49-year-old male pedestrian is being treated for life-threatening injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle Saturday in New Haven.

The pedestrian was crossing Route 80 between Middletown and Quinnipiac avenues when he was struck by a vehicle. He was transported to the hospital, said Capt. Anthony Duff, police spokesman.

The 32-year-old motorists remained at the crash scene and has cooperated with police. The NHPD Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-946-6316.
