Man, 59, Charged With Murder & Non-Fatal Shooting Of Police Capt.

Albert Eaddy was charged in the 2019 killing of Troy Clark and the shooting of now-retired New Haven police Capt. Anthony Duff, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Albert Eaddy, 59, of New Haven was charged with murder Tuesday in the fatal 2019 fatal shooting of Troy Clark, police said.

Eaddy was also charged in the non-fatal shooting of now-retired New Haven Police Capt. Anthony Duff, according to court records and a statement from police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway.

Already in custody at the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, he is held on a $2 million bond.

Shumway said Eaddy was brought from the prison Tuesday to New Haven Superior Court to be served with the warrant, and to be arraigned.

Eaddy is charged with first-degree felony murder, first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree robbery, first degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm.
